My Story

            My name is Amanda Robertson and I am a professional golfer.  I grew up in Tulare, CA with my family and played every sport possible while growing up.  I was a huge softball fanatic and played on travel ball teams with my hopes of one day going to the Olympics.  

     During high school the Olympic committee had decided that softball be pulled from the list and this was a huge moment in my life.  I took some time to decide what my next plan of action was going to be.  I loved sports too much to let them be part of my past so I decided to try an individual sport.  

     Golf was very new to me but I wanted something I could continue doing for a long time.  Golf was introduced to me and I instantly fell in love with the game.  I worked hard to improve and found myself addicted.  I knew I would have to put in a lot of hard work if wanting to play full time someday.  During my college years I continued to work on my game and played for the Golf Channel Amateur Tour.  It was a great experience as I was the only female.  My team won the Golf Channel Team Nationals and it was then that I decided I wanted to make this my full time career.

      I turned pro in 2012 and currently play on The Cactus Tour, Canadian Women's Tour and the LPGA's Symetra Tour.
